Ghanaian international Majeed Ashimeru is expected to be in the starting lineup of Red Bull Salzburg later tonight when they take on Liverpool in the Uefa Champions League.
The former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) star traveled with the Austria side to England yesterday ahead of the daunting fixture against the defending Champions.
The midfielder has been outstanding for Salzburg since the start of the season and has been the architect for the side in the middle of the park, helping them to the summit of the Austria League.
Ashimeru earned a spot on the division’s ‘Team of the Week’ for match week 9 last weekend after his masterclass helped his club to thrash Austria Vienna by four goals to nothing.
He has a couple of goals plus an assist to his name already this campaign and is in contention to once again dictate the pace for Salzburg in the middle of the park when they take on the English Premier League giants.
The match will be played at Anfield at 19:00GMT.
