Majeed Warris transfer to Nantes unlikely after club sign Moses Simon

The transfer of Ghanaian international, Majeed Warris to French Ligue 1 side Nantes looks unlikely following the club’s announcement that they have signed Levante forward Moses Simon.

The Black Stars attacker who spent last season on loan at the Ligue 1 outfit has been a transfer target for the Canaries since the window opened. His impressive stint with the side last season convinced the side to try and secure him on a permanent basis before negotiations with Porto hit a snag.

The Portuguese club’s asking price of 6 million Euros proved to be too much for Nantes, forcing them to slowly lose interest.

They have now sealed a season-long loan move for Nigerian attacker Moses Simon who impressed during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

They will also have an option to buy for 5 million Euros at the end of the 2019/2020 season if he manages to impress.

According to reports, Nantes will most likely end their pursuit of the Ghanaian striker whose future with Porto continues to be unknown.

Former of BK Hacken, Bursaspor and Lorient, Majeed Warris has been relegated to the B side of the Dragons despite the season having already started.
