Major boost for Nigeria as FIFA clears Ademola Lookman ahead of Ghana showdown

The Nigeria national team has been further strengthened ahead of the showdown against Ghana in the final round of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Nicknamed the Super Eagles, the West African giants will next month take on the Black Stars in a double-header encounter to battle for a place at this year’s global showpiece.

This week, talented forward Ademola Lookman has received clearance from FIFA to switch nationality from England to represent Nigeria.

This is a major boost for the NFF seeking to oversee the qualification of the Super Eagles to the world cup.

The Super Eagles have seen their squad strengthened no doubt and will also during the clash with the Black Stars have the presence of highly-rated striker Victor Osimehen.

With the addition of these two players, Nigeria looks the favourite to overcome Ghana in the final 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
