Iddrisu Baba, one of Real Mallorca's most crucial cornerstones this season, will be out for a month. The player is set to play for Ghana at the Africa Cup, which kicks off on January 9 with a match between Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

Baba was eligible to participate against FC Barcelona on matchday 19 of LaLiga when FIFA authorised the players called up for the competition to join their respective teams on Monday, January 3.

However, starting on matchday 20, Mallorca would no longer have Baba in the Luis Garcia Plaza squad.

Mallorca is planning to replace the Afcon bound midfielder with Ruiz de Galarreta or Salva Sevilla for their upcoming games in La Liga.
