Manchester City have blocked Jadon Sancho from joining Manchester United.
The Manchester Evening News says Sancho is expected to join Borussia Dortmund after City refused to let him join another English club.
United were pushing hard to lure 17-year-old Sancho across the city but their neighbours have blocked the England Under-18 forward from moving to a rival.
Talks between Sancho's camp and Tottenham broke down earlier this week and Dortmund are understood to have fought off competition from fellow Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig to sign Sancho.
United were prepared to continue working on a deal for Sancho after transfer deadline day but the player's agent wanted to conclude a move on Thursday.
