Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus defended his performance for their draw at Middlesbrough.

The 20-year-old was quiet during the 2-2 draw at the Riverside and missed a great chance in the first half when he headed wide.

But the forward explained he is still working his way back to full fitness.

Speaking to mancity.com, he said: “After being out for three months, I am tired.

“In my case I am still not 100 per cent fit so I missed so many chances and I am sad for that."
