Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made Bayern Munich fullback Joshua Kimmich a priority target for the summer market.
Guardiola worked with Kimmich at Bayern and knows the youngster is frustrated over the lack of action he's seen at Bayern this season.
Yahoo! UK Sport says the City manager is ready to rescue Kimmich from Bayern as he seeks to overhaul his fullback options.
Just last week, Guardiola confessed: "We have no defenders who are able to run up and down the pitch permanently because they are all 33 or 34 years old."
The Catalan has already made contact with Kimmich's minders to register his interest and is ready to test Bayern's resolve closer to the end of the season.
