Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarek was in England last week especially to see Pablo Zabaleta.
The Sunday Mirror says Al Mubarek made a special trip to the Etihad last weekend to present Zabaleta with a spectacular luxury watch to mark the end of the Argentine's nine-year stint with the club.
Khaldoon felt he had to personally thank Zabaleta for being such a fine servant for City during a stint that has realised two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup.
So he flew to Manchester from Abu Dhabi to wish Zabaleta good luck for the future and make a presentation that left the defender stunned.
There was a gasp of astonishment from the 32-year-old when the chairman asked him to accept a stunning designer timepiece that had been crafted for the occasion.
