Man City keeper Willy Caballero hoping for new deal

Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero is counting on a new deal.

The Argentine keeper has revealed that City will not inform him if he has a future at the Etihad until after Sunday's final game of the season at Watford.

He said: “I am waiting and doing my job. I hope we can achieve our last target of finishing third and then Pep (Guardiola) and the club will be in a position to make decisions about a lot of players.

“I don't know if there is a meeting scheduled. That is for my agent. For my side, I have to be concentrated on the Watford game because we still need the points.

“If I was a young player, I would probably feel more anxious, but I am an experienced player and I am living really well.

“I would like to speak with the club when the last game finishes and I want to stay because I am really happy and so are my family.

“This has been my best season at City because I started behind Claudio Bravo and Joe Hart and now I am No 1, so we will see."
