Man City Prepared to Offload Exiled Keeper Joe Hart on the Cheap This Summer

Manchester City are prepared to offload their exiledgoalkeeper Joe Hart - currently on loan at Italian club Torino -at the end of the current campaign on a permanent deal and for a significantly lower amount than previously demanded, according to a report inThe Sun.

The Citizens had previously refused to sell their long-standing goalkeeper for anything less than£20m, but it is understood that they will now consider offers in the region of£10m. However the higher stated amount is likely tostill be demanded if a Premier League club expresses interest.

The stalwart was deemed surplus to requirements by incoming manager Pep Guardiola at the beginning of the season, with the Spaniard preferring his goalkeepers to be adept with the ball at their feet. Hart was replaced in the starting lineup by Barcelona and Chilekeeper Claudio Bravo, who himself has performed questionably since his arrival.

Hart, who is on a£120k-a-week deal in Manchester, is expected to seek a move rather than return to a club where is he no longer valued, and is reportedly open to a move abroad, having fared well with the Italian side.

A host of Premier league clubs have been linked with the England number one, including Everton. Sunderland and Liverpool.

The Reds have been criticised for their lack of defensive quality in recent weeks, with summer signing Loris Karius particularly culpable for their weekend capitulation to Bournemouth.

However, given Manchester City's considerable asking price, it is unlikely that any English clubwill firm up their interest with an offer.
