Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has picked up his second ban of the season, and will be unavailable for selection for the club's next four domestic matches.
The Argentine was shown a straight red for a horrific tackle on Chelsea defender David Luiz nearing the end of City's 3-1 loss to the Premier League leaders on Saturday.
Aguero's tackle sparked a huge commotion on the touchline, with Nathaniel Chalobah pushing the forward over in defence of Luiz, while Fernandinho was seenshoving Cesc Fabregas in the throat several times before sending the midfielder tumbling behind the hoardings near the pitch.
Fernandinho was shown red as well, and will be serving a three-game ban himself.
Aguero has already served a ban this season, missing three games as a result, having been punished retrospectively for an elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid back in August.
Speaking after the match, City manager Pep Guardiola said:"I don't think Aguero's challenge is intentional."
And speaking on Monday, he revealed that the club were not interested in appealing the FA's decision.
"We are going to accept the ban from the Football Association and work with other players for the games," he said.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss was said to be extremely angry with Aguero after the striker picked up his first suspension. That led many to suggest that the strikercould be on his way out.
Things have since cooled in that regard, but Guardiola must be fuming at his player's latest antics.
