Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is weighing up a move for Benfica goalkeeper Ederson.

The Manchester Evening News says Ederson, 23, and Atletico Madrid number one Jan Oblak are the prime candidates to succeed David De Gea in the event he completes a protracted transfer to Real Madrid.

Brazilian Ederson is also interesting Manchester City after establishing himself as Benfica's first-choice goalkeeper last year. He has started 27 of the newly-crowned Portuguese champions 33 Primeira Liga fixtures this term.

Ederson is represented by Jorge Mendes' Gestifute group, which also handles De Gea and Mourinho.
