Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed Luke Shaw's season is over.
The left-back hobbled off in just the ninth minute of his side's clash with Swansea on Sunday after sustaining a foot injury.
A scan on Monday revealed he has ligament damage and although Mourinho is waiting for a second opinion, has confirmed Shaw will have no more part to play in United's season.
"It's an important injury," said Mourinho, speaking to the press ahead of United's Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
"We are waiting for a second opinion but he is out for the season, that is confirmed."
