Manchester United could use skipper Wayne Rooney in a player plus cash deal for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the Express.
The Belgian striker, who is valued at £100m by his club, is reportedly a top target for both United and Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Rooney, who also left the Toffees for United in 2004, is widely expected to leave the Red Devils this summer.
