Man Utd legend Yorke: Lukaku harshly criticised. He\'ll turn things around

Dwight Yorke has insisted that Romelu Lukaku is not to blame for his recent dip in form.

Lukaku made a phenomenal start to life at Old Trafford but has since failed to find the back of the net during any of his last several matches for the club.

"When he came to the football club, I felt we had the right person and I really do feel we have the right striker for the club," Yorke told talkSPORT.

"We lost two big personalities. Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] was a big personality for us and scored a number of goals last season and of course we lost Wayne Rooney, who for so many years has been our talisman.

"We were looking for the right ingredients to come to Man United and I think we have the right player. He got off to the best possible start of any striker - he broke all records coming to the club.

"At international level, he is scoring goals. There might be a little question mark about whether he has done enough against big teams in the Premier League but for what he has done at the football club he has been harshly criticised."
