Manchester United want to sign Tottenham's head of recruitment Paul Mitchell, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Mitchell was responsible for spotting Dele Alli while the youngster was still playing at MK Dons. Before moving to Spurs, he worked at Southampton and was responsible for the signings of Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane.
The report claims that United chief executive Ed Woodward has been under pressure to appoint the director of football at the club and interest in Mitchell could be an outcome of that pressure.
