Former Hearts of Oak coach, Mohammed Polo says the management of the club must be blamed if the club fail to win the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians who started the campaign with Samuel Boadu had a slow start.

The uninspiring performance led to the sacking of Boadu. The club confirmed the appointment of Serbian manager, Slavko Matic.

However, Matic was chased out by the fans following a poor run of results.

David Ocloo, who is the assistant coach has been tasked to lead the club until the end of the season.

After 29 games played, Hearts of Oak sit 4th on the league log with 45 points.

Polo, who is also a legend of the club says the management must be blamed for their poor decisions if the club fail to win the Premier League title.

"The management has a problem because they appointed Slavko Matic but the fans sacked him and that indicates that the management did a poor job," he told Kumasi-based Pure FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"When Matic was appointed, he sacked senior players without giving them the opportunity to prove themselves.

"There were no reasons why he made those decisions and when he was chased out, the assistant coach came to their rescue.

"For me, if the club fail to win the Premier League, the management must be blamed," he added.

Hearts of Oak will be hosted by FC Samartex 1996 in the matchday 30 games at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex this weekend.
