Manchester City looking at Thomas Partey as a possible replacement to Fernandinho

English Champions Manchester City have penciled Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey as a possible replacement to Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho.

According to reports, City's officials are monitoring the Ghanaian who plays his club football for Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Partey in the last few years have become a household name both at Atletico Madrid and the Ghana national team.

His impressive outings earned him a place in the African best eleven in the year 2018.

With Fernandinho who has been a dependable midfielder for Pep Guardiola's side ageing, there are reports that Partey could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium.

He has become a subject of talk in recent times following his lack of game time at Atletico Madrid.
