Manchester United have received a huge injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool asduo Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luke Shaw havereturned to the squad.

The Red Devils will visit Anfield on Monday night to take on Jurgen Klopp's Reds in a match-up that has in the past boiled over due to the tension, and manager Jose Mourinho will be glad to be welcoming back two first team members in what could be their toughest away fixture of the season.

According tothe Telegraph, both will be in contention to start the historic fixture, but Mourinho will be cautious as to disrupting their recovery time after a poor run of form from his side in both the league and in Europe.

Mkhitaryan has endured a torrid start to his United career since moving to Old Trafford in the summer from Borussia Dortmund, and picked up an thigh injury in the Manchester Derby loss that has kept him out of the squad until now.

However, the Armenian captain has had time to rest after United requested his country to leave him at home in Manchester rather than compete in the international break, so should be ready to play on Monday.

Luke Shaw started the season well despite some early criticism from his manager for his displays, however his absence has shown in the back four after picking up a groin injury in the side's victory over Watford, and according tothe Daily Mailhas been battling to be fit for this fixture, which he appears to have won.
