They have been linked with a move for Atletico's star forward Griezmann, butthe Timesreport United managerJose Mourinho could look to sign midfielder Saul as well.

Despite the sum of the pair's release clauses totalling £145m, United are reportedly confident of negotiating the fees down to a more manageable level. They are also willing to wait until the summer in order to make their bids.

Griezmann is one of the most sought after talents in world football, having scored 50 La Liga goals for Atletico ever since his move from Real Sociedad. He also impressed at Euro 2016 during France's run to the final, while Saul is seen as a player very much in Mourinho's mould. The 22-year-old can play in defence as well as central midfield, while he has also demonstrated his talents out wide on the wing.
