Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini admits he is targeting next year's World Cup with Italy.

Gabbiadini has impressed for Saints since his January arrival from Napoli and insists he's happy on the south coast.

He told Radio Onda Libera: "English football is like I expected. They live football with serenity. I'm fine, my teammates are exceptional as is the city.

"I'm missing my home, though the distances have now disappeared in many ways.

"Italy? After having played the Euros with the Under 21s, now my goal is to go to Russia with the National Team. I thank (Giampiero) Ventura, who always has considered me."
