Marco Verratti Reaffirms Commitment to PSG Ahead of Champions League Clash With Barcelona

Italian midfielder Marco Verratti has reiterated his commitment to French champions Paris Saint-Germain claiming he wants to win the Champions League with them. The 24-year-old who has impressed on the big stage throughout his career has been linked with a number of top European clubs including Juventus and Inter Milan, who are interested in signing the pint sized midfielder.

The 24-year-old who signed a five-year deal with PSG last August is unfazed by the speculation sorrounding his future, claiming that he is happy where he is and is only concentrating on the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 fixture against Barcelona.


"I want to stay.I am part of a project and there are not many like this one in Europe.My dream is to win the Champions League here with PSG", Verratti said, as quoted byFour four two.

"I must thank the coach because he always made me confident enough to play - that was the only way I was going to get back into the swing of things.Now I feel good and I can play three matches in a week without physical problems or fatigue. In modern football, the most important thing is to be physically fit", the Italian added.

Verratti has made 186 appearances for PSG in all competitions since joining them from Pescara in 2012 and has won four Ligue 1 titles and two Coupe de France trophies with them so far.
