Maritzburg United have confirmed no offers have been received for the services of Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori.

Ofori has been one of the standout players for his side, conceding just 17 goals with only Mamelodi Sundowns having given away fewer goals with 15 strikes against them.

The 26-year-old has kept an impressive 10 clean sheets in 24 matches and is only one behind SuperSport United’s Ronwen Williams who tops the table with 11.

His impressive displays have earned him a nomination for 2019/20 South Africa Premier League Best Player award.

According to Operations Manager of the club Quintin Jetoo, there are no offers yet for former Wa All Stars shot-stopper.

"As the Chairman has previously said, there’s been no offers from anyone else regarding Richard, and he’s fully focused on finishing the season strongly for us whenever we can get playing again," Jetoo told Soccer Laduma in relations to Ofori.

"Yeah, we’re delighted to have exercised the one-year option on Richard’s contract. He’s been a big player for us since his arrival, and we’re obviously eager to keep progressing as a football club with him here."

Richard Ofori has been linked with a summer move to several clubs including Belgian Pro Jupiler League side Gent as well as Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns in the ABSA Premier League.
