Ghanaian international Daniel Opare has been ruled out of action for the rest of the season and will not be able to feature for Zulte Waregem for months, footballghana.com has learned.

The former Ghana U-20 star has been in impressive form this season but suffered an injury setback last month.

After going under the knife, Daniel Opare has now been ruled out and expected to spend months on the sidelines to make his recovery.

According to information gathered, the full-back cannot play for his club again until the end of the 2020/2021 football season.

His manager at Zulte Waregem, Francky Dury will hence have to do without him to push for a strong finish to the end of the campaign.

Sources say the surgery on his cartilage was successful but it will take at least three months before he can return to the grass in good shape.

This season, the Ghana international has made 29 appearances for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Pro League where he provided two assists.
