After an opening day victory against Fortuna Dusseldorf, Hamburg SV has been handed a massive boost for the subsequent games as Jan Gyamerah returns to full fitness.
The full-back after spending parts of pre-season with an injury has finally found his feet.
However, in the past week, the defender has made it out of the recovery room and is now available to feature in games for Hamburg SV.
On Friday when the club defeated Fortuna Dusseldorf on Matchday 1 of the German Bundesliga 2, he passed the fitness test but his manager Daniel Thioune decided not to rush him.
In subsequent games, Jan Gyamerah will be in line to play for Hamburg. In a season where the team is eying promotion to the Bundesliga a the end of the campaign, the 25-year-old will be key for his team.
