Match fixing scandal: Newly promoted Bolga All Stars involved in a match fixing business with BA United

Newly promoted Ghana premier league side Bolga All Stars is alleged to have engaged in match fixing in their penultimate match against BA United in the Division One League.

A tape recording intercepted by Accra based radio station Atinka FM revealed how a renowned management member of BA United confesses how his club were bribed with GH¢4,000 by the Upper East side to throw a promotional match in their favour.

The BA United official was heard complaining bitterly about being side-stepped in the share of an amount of GHC4,000 paid by Bolga All Stars.

The Ghana FA is expected to open investigation into the cancerous episode which threatens the game in the West African nation.
