Match Report: Aduana 4 Bechem 2 - Yahaya Mohammed & Bright Adjei bag braces

Published on: 29 May 2016

Aduana Stars consigned regional neighbours Bechem United to the relegation zone to end the first round after thrashing them 4-2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday. Former OGC Nice midfielder Yahaya Mohammed, now playing as a forward for the former champions, hit a brace to end the first round as leading scorer with 11 goals while CNN Sport Goal of the Week Award winner Bright Adjei also netted a double.

Bechem made the short trip to the noisy neighbours hoping for better results but the entire team was put at the receiving end of the on-fire Aduana side.

Bright Adjei completed his brace before Yahaya Mohammed resuming his scoring trek, adding the third before wrapping up the win and put the game firmly beyond United who had Abednego Tetteh and Aminu Mohammed scoring the consolation goals.

Bechem went into the game knowing they could end the first round in the drop zone if they suffer defeat but there was little they could do to stop the Fire Boys.

With Inter Allies stealing a point from Hasaacas, it means Bechem have slipped to relegation zone with inferior goal aggregate and head-to-head disadvantage.
