Yahaya Mohammed fired Aduana Stars to second place on the league table after he converted a penalty to hand them all three points against Berekum Chelsea at the Dormaa Park on Saturday. Mohammed grabbed his 14th goal of the season from the penalty spot after a Chelsea defender was penalised for handling the ball in the box.
Chelsea missed many opportunities to draw level but they were wasteful in the final third with striker Sadick Adams spurning many opportunities.
Aduana were urged on by a vociferous home crowd as they managed to hold on for three valuable points.
The win gave Aduana 41 points and moved them to within one-point of leaders Wa All Stars on the league table.
Chelsea's loss saw them dip to 12th place on the table with 30 points.
