Berekum Chelsea extended their unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League this season with a 1-0 victory over AshantiGold.
The Blues were on the back foot for majority of the first half. AshantiGold created all the opportunities but the finishing touch was lacking.
Emmanuel Owusu came the closest for the Miners. He headed the ball unto the bar from close range in the 24th minute.
The tides turned in the early part of the second half as Berekum Chelsea attacked with purpose. They were rewarded in the 52nd minute as Kofi Owusu took advantage of a blunder to put the ball past Frank Boateng.
The hosts constantly tried to find an equalizer but the visitors managed to hold on.
Berekum Chelsea are now at the summit of the Ghana Premier League table and have maintained their clean sheet record.
