Accra Great Olympics produced a determined performance with guile and swagger as they outshine a struggling Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The wonder Club began the game brightly, controlling possession and creating chances in the early minutes of the game that led to them winning a corner kick- this led to the opener when the porcupine warriors looked to have cleared the ball only to bounce in front on Paul Fiatsi who volleyed in the opener on 24 minutes.

Kotoko immediately went in such of an equalizer creating two chances that were spurned by Kwame Boateng and Abass Mohammed.

Kwame Boateng a former Olympics striker pulled the best out of goalkeeper Herald with a stunning strike.

Moments later Kotoko made their first substitution when Owusu Jackson was replaced by Prince Acquah.

The substitution didn’t change the trend of the game as Great Olympics continued pressed in search of a second.

A well taken cross from the right found Francis Atsu in the box who controlled delicately and slid the ball pass Felix Annan to grab all three points for Olympics.

Kotoko had a goal disallowed in the final moments of the game as offside. This stretches Kotoko’s run without a win to 9 games.

Great Olympics will next travel to Berekum to play Chelsea as Kotoko welcome Tema Youth.
