A goal in either half from Paul Acquah and Inusah Musah gave Accra Hearts of Oak a slender 2-1 victory over Accra Great Olympics in the Accra derby on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Paul Acquah gave Hearts the lead with a diving header which re-directed Fatawu Mohammed's cross into the net past goalie Odonkor.
But with recess approaching Benjamin Arthur restored parity for Olympics with a header from a corner which had Hearts goalie Ben Mensah lost at sea.
In the second half the Phobians restored their advantage through a scrappy effort from defender Inusah Musah who slid home after a howler from the Olympics goalie.
Olympics attempted to grab an equaliser with player-coach Godwin Attram entering the fray but he was unable to make any meaningful contribution to the game.
