Published on: 14 June 2016

Medeama SC defeated Techiman city 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League outstanding match played at the Tarkwa T and A park on Tuesday morning.

Two goals in both halves was enough to help the Mauves and Yellow secure maximum three points at the expense of visiting Techiman City to move up to 5th with 26 points on the league table.

Striker Bismark Oppong opened the scoring for Medeama with a stunning strike in the 45th minute, seconds before halftime.

Influential attacking midfielder Akwasi Donsu converted a spot kick in the 50th minute to ensure victory for the Mauves.

Techiman city though had decent chances to reduce the deficit but failed to make the most of it, bowing to the 2-0 defeat.

The result is certainly a moral booster for Medeama who will travel on Thursday to face African giants TP Mazembe in the first match of CAF confederation cup group stage.
