Wa All Stars leapfrogged Accra Hearts of Oak to the summit of the league with a 1-0 win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Wa park on Wednesday. The tie was settled for the homesters courtesy Richard Arthur's solitary strike in the 15th minute. The goal was Arthur's fifth in 14 league games.

All Stars put-up a reslient display in the second half to hand Kotoko coach Michael Osei his second defeat since taking charge of the team.

Osei handed a starting spot to Dauda Mohammed (who missed his side's 1-0 win over Dwarfs last Sunday due to a national assignment) but the young prodigy was unable to find the back of the net.

Dauda Mohammed who missed Kotoko's was handed a starting role by caretaker coach Michael Osei on his return but could not save the day.

Arthur was the star of the game with his sublime finish beating Ernest Sowah who was in goal for the visitors.

Kotoko dominated large parts second half with lead striker Dauda Mohammed as well as Bennett Ofori nicknamed C-Ro spurning most of the chances.

The result propels All Stars to the summit of the league table ahead of Hearts of Oak (with both teams on 25 points) who host Liberty Professionals tomorrow at the Accra sports stadium while Kotoko have plummeted to fourth.
