Match Report: WAFA 2-0 Dwarfs - Academy Boys dominate Dwarfs on artificial turf.

West Africa Football Academy look set to continue their dominance over Ghana Premier League teams on the artificial surface at the Sogakope WAFA Park with their latest victims 9-man Ebusua Dwarfs suffering a 2-0 humbling today. Enterprsising midfielder Gideon Waja converted a set-piece to open the scoring for the hosts in the 40th minute before Togolese international Komla Agbégniadan settled the tie in the 81st minute.

Dwarfs ended the game with only nine players after the resorted to brutish tackling as they struggled to keep-up with the nimble-footed WAFA players. Teye Amoa-Mensah and Joseph Eshun were sent off for Dwarfs in the second half.

Dwarfs appeared to be seeing-off the first-half of the game to a draw but they were stunned five minutes to the end when Gideon Waja curled home a stunning free-kick after Agbegniadan was fouled.

Agbégniadan got on the score-sheet late in the second half when he capitalised on lax defending by Dwarfs to slot the ball past goalkeeper Frank Andoh for the second goal of the clash.

The 25-year-old was stretched off the pitch moments after scoring as he sustained an injury which ended his afternoon.
