Match Report: WAFA dismantle Hearts 5-0 in Sogakope

Published on: 04 June 2017

West Africa Football Academy WAFA ripped apart Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Sogakope Park in a Ghana Premier League game.

Hearts having drawn their last game at home to Liberty Professionals were hoping to bounce back to winning ways.

But that did not happen as WAFA put 5-0 goals past Hearts goalie Samuel Akurugu.

WAFA playmaker Daniel Lomotey hit a brace with the other goals coming Majeed Ashimaru, Ibrahim Abdulwahab and Ibrahim Abukari.

Hearts finished the game with ten men as Leonard Tawiah was sent off for a second bookable offense that was clearly born out of frustration on the day.

WAFA by virtue of the victory have moved top of the league following Aduana's defeat at Berekum on Saturday.
