Experienced striker Yahaya Mohammed was on target this afternoon to help Aduana Stars defeat King Faisal 2-1 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Match Week 3 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The Dormaa-based club has been impressive since the start of the season and went into the clash against the Kumas-based side on the back of two wins from their earlier two matches.

Following a dominating display in the early minutes of the game, the Fire lads finally had their breakthrough on the 31st minute when poster boy Yahaya Mohammed found the back of the net. Though King Faisal tried to get back into the match, they could not pose any threat as the first half of the game ended one-nil in favour of the home team.

Another impressive performance from Aduana Stars in the second half was evident that they are a superior side to King Faisal. After failing to score in the early minutes of the second half, in form Yahaya Mohammed fired a second goal to complete his brace on the 59th minute.

The away team, despite playing as mere passengers in most parts of the match, pulled one back later in the second half when Osman Ibrahim found the back of the net.

It will however not matter at the end of the 90 minutes with Aduana Stars holding on to win 2-1, thanks to the brace from Yahaya Mohammed.
