Maxwell Konadu cautions Aduana, Kotoko ahead of Africa competitions

Assistant coach of the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu, has called on Ghanaian clubs participating in Africa club competitions in 2018 to prepare adequately ahead of their respective competitions.

Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars will be playing in the CAF Champions League while Asante Kotoko head for the CAF Confederation Cup.

The former Wa All Stars and Kotoko coach believes that, nothing will see the two teams progressing in the two competitions than good preparation.

He thus cautioned them against complacency saying, "they should forget about walking over any team. ”Football has changed; gone are the days when Ghana plays Uganda and it’s walk over for Ghana."

"Today it’s not so. That’s why every team must prepare well for every competition in Africa” said Maxwell Konadu. ”The mentality of walking over certain teams and some countries not being football countries is now things of the past. It doesn’t work anymore. Our teams must prepare well and go out there to prove their worth. No one should be boasting that we come from Ghana. They shouldn’t under rate any team”.
