Head coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has shared that he is working to improve his team to ensure they win more games that will help in their quest to lift the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

The experienced tactician joined the Porcupine Warriors last month and has been mandated to win the Ghanaian top-flight in the first two seasons and also guide the club to the knockout stage of any of the CAF’s inter-club competition.

On the opening weekend of the Ghana Premier League last Sunday, the Reds beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

He has stressed that his team has worked on their mistakes from that narrow win and will continue working on the squad to see them improve.

“So far we have stepped up preparations and we know our team will only get better. We are doing everything possible for us to play well and win a lot of games”, the gaffer said.

Coach Maxwell Konadu added, “Saying that we also have to be careful with our defensive setup. We have done a lot this week. Counting from the mistakes we made we have worked on them and we want to improve upon it.

Up next for the Kumasi-based side, they will come up against Legon Cities FC on Friday, January 3, 2020. The big game will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium with kick-off set at 18:00GMT.
