Medeama coach Prince Owusu hands goalkeeper Daniel Adjei a starting role in Young Africans game

Medeama coach Prince Owusu has benched goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe and midfielder Malik Akowuah from his starting X1 ahead of his side's crucial CAF Confederation Cup against Young Africans on today (Saturday). Owusu has opted for ex-Ghana Under-20 star Daniel Agyei who has impressed heavily since he joined the team last month.

The former Liberty Professionals and Free State Stars shot-stopper is expected to be the safest pair of hands at the 60,000 National stadium in Dar es Salam.

The trainer kept faith with his trusted back four with experienced Samuel Adade expected to operate from the right-back with Ghana Under-20 youngster Moses Sarpong on the left.

Hugely talented Daniel Amoah and experienced Paul Aidoo complete the pack of defenders.

Eric Kwakwa returns to the squad after recovering from a groin injury and will sit in front of the defenders.

Free-kick expert Kwesi Donsu will operate from the heart of the park with youngster Enoch Atta Agyei and mercurial Kwame Boahene expected to operate from the left and right flanks respectively.

Bernard Ofori and Abass Mohammed will partner upfront in what appears an attacking minded set-up.
