Medeama star Kwasi Donsu set for new season as football returns

Medeama SC player, Kwasi Donsu has expressed readiness for the new Ghana Premier League season after the green light was given for the league to return.

The Ghana Premier League returns on Friday October 30th, as stated by President of the country, Nana Akufo Addo in his latest address on ways to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The President eased restrictions on all contact sports, allowing Premier League clubs to resume training ahead of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

A session of players and football administrators have raised concerns about the proposed date for the start of the football season but according to Kwasi Donsu, he is ready and for that matter, cannot wait for the new season to start.

“I think October is a perfect date for the league resumption. We have a solid month to prepare before the season commences so I think one month is enough for us to prepare” he told Bryt FM.

“It will not be easy though but I think we can pick up in the course of the season. Even countries that resumed their league amid coronavirus struggled before they reached their peak. So I know ours will be same” he said.
