Medeama target GHALCA G6 title after Hearts draw

Medeama Sporting Club defender, Paul Aidoo, says his side is focused on winning the GHALCA G6 after a 1-1 draw with Accra Hearts of Oak yesterday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Despite the financial difficulties faced by the club, Aidoo says they are focused on events on the pitch and are unfazed about happenings at management level, as they see this tournament as a preparatory step for the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League.

He said: “We consider this tournament (G6) as a preparatory step towards the new league season. Nonetheless, we are focused on winning it and, I think the draw against Hearts of Oak is a good start, considering the minimal number of the days we’ve trained ahead of this match.”

Medeama face Aduana Stars on Sunday, in a match that could decide who progresses to the semi-finals of the competition.
