Newly appointed Assistant Coach of the senior national team, the Black Queens Mercy Quarcoo Tagoe says she is happy and ready to learn under coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani.

Mercy Tagoe who is also a retired referee coaches division one side Amidaus Professionals.

The former Black Queens player was part of the first team to qualify Ghana for the world Cup.

“Didi is my mentor. I am not the head coach, he is the head coach so I am there to support him and at the same time learn,” she told Metro TV.

“Remember Kwesi Appiah played second fiddle to all those expatriate coaches and today he is the head coach, so that is exactly what I am going to do, to support Didi to push women’s football forward,” she added.

The Black Queens will now be led by Mas Ud Didi Dramani who replaced Yussif Basigi.

Dramani handed the national under-20 football team before he was reassigned.
