Stopgap coach of the Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoe has applauded her players for their tactical discipline after booking a place in the semi-final of the ongoing 2018 WAFU Zone B Nations Cup.

The Black Queens defeated Burkina Faso 4-1 on Sunday in their final Group A match to finish second behind hosts Ivory Coast.

"My impression of the game is that my team was tactically discipline.

“They were doing the technical and tactical work that I have taught them with regards to the passing, everything was super.

However, the trainer could not hide her excitement over the team's progress in the tournament.

"Whenever you win a match, automatically the feelings become very good and you become very happy," she added.

The Queens will play Nigeria in the semi-finals of the competition on Wednesday.
