On Tuesday afternoon, Asante Kotoko icon Golden Boy Karim Abdul Razak Tanko met Cameroonian attacker Mfegue Georges Omgba Rodrique for the first time at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi at the launch of the club's sponsorship event with Betika.

During his playing career, 'Golden Boy' Abdul Razak had three distinct periods at Asante Kotoko. With the team, he won three Ghana Premier League titles in 1981, 1986, and 1987.

The 25-year-old, meanwhile, joined the Porcupines on a three-year deal from Cameroonian top-flight club Avion Academy prior to the season's start.

Mfegue, who is known for his pace, power, and excellent finishing skills in the final third, has two goals in four games for Asante Kotoko in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The attacker's two goals came in Asante Kotoko's 3-2 loss to King Faisal FC in the Kumasi Derby last weekend.

Abdul Razak took advantage of the occasion to offer advice and push him to contribute more to the club during his time in Ghana.
