Michael Agbekornu hoping for successful tournament with Black Meteors at U-23 AFCON

Hardworking Dreams FC midfielder Michael Agbekornu says he is expecting to get a chance to contribute to the triumph of the Black Meteors at the 2019 CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The player is one of 21- players that are currently in Egypt wrapping up preparations before the start of the tournament on Friday, November 8, 2019.

Speaking in an interview after the team’s first training session in Cairo, Michael Agbekornu shared, “My expectation is to play very well if I get the chance against Cameroon so we can win since it will be our first group match”.

“Egypt is good and we had a good training yesterday and everything is going on well”.

Agbekornu played his first match for the Meteors during the second leg of the final qualifying round to the U-23 AFCON where they beat Algeria 1-0. His quality is no secrete and will get the chance to play a part for Coach Ibrahim Tanko during the tournament.
