Michael Osei leaves for Coaching course

Coach Michael Osei has left Kumasi for Accra to attend a two-day coaching programme. Dubbed “World Class Thought Leadership Seminar” – the coaching programme comes off between October 5 and 6, 2016 at the Lizzy Sports Complex and Swiss Spirit & Suite Alisa, Accra respectively.

The seminar, which is being put together by the Ghana League Clubs Association (Ghalca) and Betway Ghana will be attended by coaches from the 16 Premier League clubs; the three top clubs in the various zones of the Division One League as well as one coach to be nominated by Ghana Football Association (GFA)’s Technical Directorate.

Coaches from English Premier League club, West Ham are among several other top football brains is expected to lecture at the event.

Sharing his thoughts on the event before his departure, Coach Michael Osei told Aantekotokosc.com that, he sees the programme as good learning opportunity.

“Football is changing. New ideas come up all the time. We are not always able to attended courses abroad except you have the means so this is a chance to learn. I’m always ready to learn. This is a nice chance for me” said Michael Osei who steered Kotoko for most part of the 2015/16 season in an interim capacity as head coach. Only a fortnight ago, Michael Osei was at Prampram for a similar programme. “The Prampram event was a fitness course for coaches. We basically learnt how we can work to improve the fitness of our teams. I was there for five days and we had instructors from the UK and it was another brilliant learning time” he said.

Prior to the start of the 2015/16 season, Coach Michael Osei went to Germany for another coaching programme.
