Michael Vinicius trains with Asante Kotoko teammates for the first time

Brazilian attacker Michael Vinicius has trained with Asante Kotoko for the first time after joining the club.

Vinicius joined the Ghana Premier League side on a two and half year deal ahead of the second round of the season.

The 27-year-old arrived in Ghana on Friday to begin his spell at the Porcupine Warriors.

Vinicius is the second Brazilian footballer to join Asante Kotoko this season after Fabio Gama joined teh club prior to the start of the season.

He will be working under Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto who was appointed to take over the head coach role at Asante Kotoko last week.

Vinicius had previous stints with Linkoping City and Vasalunds IF (Sweden).

Asante Kotoko finished the first half of the season on the 4th position with 27 points.

The Reds will be hosted by Eleven Wonders in the matchday 18 games at the Nana Ameyaw Park.
