Middlesbrough boss Monk goes for Swansea defender Bartley

New Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk wants a new reunion with Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley.

WalesOnline says Monk has been linked with another move for the central defender, who he signed on a season-long loan for Leeds last season.

Former Swansea manager Monk is a big admirer of the 26-year-old former Arsenal and Rangers man.

Bartley, who has made just 16 Swansea appearances since moving to Wales in 2012, made a favourable impression at Leeds last season, playing 50 games and scoring six goals as the Elland Road club just missed out on a Championship play-off spot.
