Published on: 15 October 2020

After a one-year stay at the club, Asante Kotoko is ready to cut ties with midfielder Kingsley Osei Effah.

The former Legon Cities FC player has been declared by the club's technical team headed by Coach Maxwell Konadu as surplus to the requirements as the club prepares for the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.

The 25-year-old was left out of the Asante Kotoko squad for their Koforidua preseason exercise ahead for the 2020/2021 season.

During the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, which was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he struggled for regular playing time at Asante Kotoko, he made just two appearances for the club.

After terminating his stay with Legon Cities FC, Kingsley Osei Effah joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal.
