Milovan Rajevac considering new call-ups amid Thomas Partey’s absence headache

Ghana head coach, Milovan Rajevac is considering giving call-ups to new players amid fears that midfielder Thomas Partey will not be available for the games against Ethiopia and South Africa.

Nicknamed that Black Stars, the Ghana national team will play the two final matches of Group G in the African qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in this international break.

After missing Arsenal’s game with Watford over the weekend, Thomas Partey is set to miss Ghana’s crucial matches in the qualifiers through a muscle injury.

Faced with a headache as one of his best players will not be available, Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac is now considering making additions to his invited squad.

Sources say the name of Bernard Mensah has been mentioned and he could be invited to replace the injured Thomas Partey.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian FA is in talks with the medical team of Arsenal hoping to have the player for at least the clash against South Africa.
